The UCLA Center for the Developing Adolescent hosts the National Scientific Council on Adolescence, the Youth Scientific Council on Adolescence, and the Adolescent Development Policy Council. Learn more about our councils below.

National Scientific Council on Adolescence
The National Scientific Council on Adolescence (NSCA) is a group of U.S.-based researchers with broad expertise in adolescent development whose mission is to increase access to science that can inform and improve adolescent experiences and outcomes. The NSCA does this by writing reports and working with CDA staff to inform content.

Youth Scientific Council on Adolescence
The Youth Scientific Council on Adolescence (YSCA) is a group of young people dedicated to promoting the positive development and well-being of youth. The YSCA works with the CDA staff and the National Scientific Council on Adolescence to inform, translate, and disseminate the science of adolescence to broader audiences.

Adolescent Development Policy Council
The Adolescent Development Policy Council is a group of diverse experts in the policies, programs, and public systems that support adolescents. Members work with CDA staff to enhance and inform the policy-related activities of the Center.
